Vegetable Pulav
 Ingredients:
  • 2 cups rice.
  • 3 cups water.
  • ½ cup green peas.
  • 1 Onion (vertical sliced)
  • 2 cups Chopped mix Vegetables (capsicums,
  • potatoes, tomato, carrot)
  • 2 Chilies.
  • 1/2 cup Coconut.
  • Coriander leaves.
  • 2 tbsp Butter.

Other Spices:

  • 1/2" Cinnamon stick .
  • 1 Clove.
  • 2 Cardamoms.
  • Salt as per taste.
  • 1/4th tsp Turmeric powder.
  • 4 cloves Garlic (optional)
  • 1/2" piece ginger paste.

Method:

  • Wash the rice and drain the water.
  • Cook rice along with turmeric powder & some green peas.
  • Pour the butter into a vessel and heat.
  • Add cinnamon, cardamom and cloves.
  • Add onions and chilies and fry until onions turn golden brown.
  • Add ginger + garlic paste and turmeric powder and fry until you get a nice smell.
  • Add coconut, vegetables & salt and cook till vegetables are properly cooked.
  • Reduce to low heat & add cooked rice.
  • Mix properly.
  • Cook for 4-5 mins & remove from heat.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
