Silica

High grade Silica sand and Glass sand is found in Anjar. It is a mineral of 21st century and ample scope exist for the development of silica sand based industries. There is a scope to establish glass and ceramic industries in Kutch.

  • Location:- Village Nadapa and Mamuara in Bhuj Taluka, Sapeda and Nagalpar in Anjar Taluka, Bhachau and Lakhpat Taluka.

  • Use:- Glass Industries Foundres and for the manufacturing of Sodium silicates.

  • Controlled by:- Department of Mining.

  • Silica washing plant have been established in village in Bhachu Taluka Adhoi.

  • Produstion (in thousands):-35.00MT.
